Horror in Mumbai

Yes, peace in this world is slowly giving way to terror and fear. Terror is growing much faster than global warming. We, all the countries, have earned independence, however, of what use is that independence if we can not live in peace? All these are the net result of India's zeal to retain Kashmir at all cost. Second, unnecessary provocation of Muslims by Salman Rushdi in the name of right to freedom of expression and subsequent protection, rightly so, provided to him by the UK against the fatwa of that one Ayatholla. Third, George Bush and Tony Blair going to war on Iraq to destroy nonexistant WMDs and kill or capture Saddam only with the ulterior intention of creating some business to wealthy American builders, weapons manufacturers and with an eye on Iraqi oil fields. Fourth, the President elect Obama thoughtlessly declaring his intention to finish off Osama reportedly hiding in some cave in Afghanisthan. Solution to the problem: First, India should give up claim over Kashmir and stop spending huge money on defence. Use that money in bettering the lives of millions of poor Indians, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Buddhists. Did not the erstwhile USSR and Gorbachov showed the way by splitting that country into several countries?. We should barter a piece of land called Kashmir for hopefully permanent peace. Today evening, in his speech, the Indian Prime Minister declared that he will do every thing to punish those who were responsible for killing and do every thing to root out terrorism from the Indian soil. This is the same old rhetoric; neither the wine nor the bottle is new. None of our Prime Ministers was able to root out corruption in the country, how can Mr. Manmohan root out terrorism when he has not been able to root out corruption or stem inaction on the part of his ministers and bureaucrats? By not rooting out corruption and inaction our Bureaucrats and politicians have caused untold miseries to millions of people in this country. Is that not worse than terrorism?? We need a hundred MK Gandhis to stem the rot in this country. Second, the great rhetoric Obama should concentrate on setting his country right and stop spending huge money on weapons of mass destruction, maintainance of military and war machinery like his predecessor. Obama, by expressing his intention to kill Osama has earned the wrath of a billion people on this globe. Is this the way an educated leader should proclaim? Should he not follow the time tested Gandhian ways. There are millions of economically backward lower middle class people in America and lot of unemployment. Obama's priority, even for a minute, should not be to kill others but work for the welfare of his people. Obama should say that he loves every one in the world and not say that he is in search of targets to kill some one hiding some where in Afghanistan or Iran. War begets terror; Love breeds love. War on the part of the organised, terrorism on the part of the scattered and unorganised are both products of uncivilised minds. It is time to end the cruelty and ruthlessness man has shown in the name of war. It is we, the educated people of the world, who should show the uneducated barbarians the way to peace. The world needs a Gandhi, a Martin Luthar King, Gautham Buddha. If you smile the world smiles, not otherwise.
